I don't know what the Nevada Taxi authority dose but having been a cab driver in FL. I know that there are many rules and regs that cab drivers have to follow. Regs like number of passengers, seatbelt use, meter use and yes even vehicle lighting. I would then assume that the Taxi Authority would enforce the regs for the taxi's in a large city so the police can be free to answer call from the public.

This is one of the coolest off road patrol rigs I've ever seen.

Good call on the Mr. Anonymous there is a lot of crybabing around about the different pictures of the police cruiser.

Guest JW wrote: Thursday, April 12, 2007 - 3:12

Because the light bar is much cheaper when ordered without takedowns and alleys.

I believe that this is actually the security/ safety department for a large resort. No tax money being spent here.

The city agencies you see on here with land rovers, volvos, and the like are all very wealthy ski resort towns. The cars are usually leased for cheap via special deals and probably cost less than buying a crown vic or other "real" police car.

Seems like some of these CO agencies are a fantasy land with all these expensive vehicles they use.

Guest William wrote: Wednesday, April 11, 2007 - 19:35

Looks good, though never understood why they plug the take downs and alley's.

This vehicle was parked in front of the Security Police Squadron at the U.S. Air Force Academy outside of Colorado Springs.

The police agency in my hometown uses several Chevy Tahoes and GMC Yukons. They the lightbars towards the center of the roof. I have never seen on that far back.
