...AND THE SS DIDN'T HAVE THE 'POLICE ENGINEERED' ITEMS IN IT EITHER. WOULD HAVE BEEN EXPENSIVE TO ADD HEAVY DUTY ANYTHING & WIRING BUSES.

Police Departments didn't buy the Impala SS because it had a price tag that was nearly twice as expensive as the Caprice police package.

I have a question though if the Caprice 9C1 and 1994-1996 Impala SS are pritty much the same vehical how come police departments did not get Impala SS and dress them up like they would a Caprice why were thier no Impala SS police cars?

Is this a 1985 Buick Lesabre? What the deal with an old Buick being a constable's car?

Not all police cars are police packages. Many small towns or agencies either buy plain cars or the officers have to supply their own. Why buy a tough police package when you just serve papers or cite bad check writers? (the basic job description in TX, don't know about WI)
