Haven't seen one of these in long while. Exactly the model which was the first patrol unit I ever drove. Ran like a rocket, but we couldn't keep a front suspension under them. As a result, the rear end rode high. But they would always start and always run. Thanks for sharing this photo.

Currently the blue lights on police cars is being debated in Albany. Vol. Fireman have 'exclusive' use of blue lights. And it just drives them nuts that Police Cars are exempt from ALL traffic laws and cops are starting to use blue more frequently.

Wow! That is the first time I have ever seen a police vehicle anywhere in NY equipped with blue lights (even if it is only a flasher facing the rear).
Good photo, sir. __________________________ There have been several NY police departments that have run blue lights on their patrol cars including Yonkers, Great Neck Estates, NY/NJ Port Authority, White Plains... I'm sure I'm forgetting one or two more. Those are just the ones I have pictures of.
