This is a good condition 9c1 for being in service still.

I was suprised that the county Sheriff uses two different Dodges, which are the Interpid and the Charger. While the Dodge Interpid is V6, is this Dodge Charger with V6 or V8?

In my opinion, Oklahoma Highway Patrol cars are amongst the best looking representing state police nation wide. Of course Texas Highway Patrol has the best looking cars. Nonetheless, great shot of this OHP unit.

Yes, ISP has bought some 2006 Impalas. They haven't been distributed to the districts yet. You see a lot of older cars in the ISP fleet because the dept has had much trouble getting funding to buy new squads for the past several years.

Had the IL State Police bought the 2006 Chevy Impala, while the IL State Police keeps 2000-2005 Chevy Impala for long time?

Anonymous wrote: Monday, June 12, 2006 - 6:29

Like this picture,IL State Police probably has many Ford Police Interceptors and many Chevy Impalas. The State of IL also purchased some Dodge Charger Police cars, which are faster and more powerful than the 2006 Impala or the Ford Police Interceptors. Without a doubt, IL State Police also contiune to buy Ford and Chevy. When I read the comments from other people, unmarked Camaros, Tahos, and Mustangs are still on services. One reader says that some police officers are still driving the 1995 Chevy Caprices. Overall, the IL State Police are using many different cars and trucks from old to new.

Great shot of a 911EP Millennium lightbar.

Guest Phil Dorsett wrote: Sunday, April 16, 2006 - 21:42

Ugliest lightbar I've seen in a while.

usually it says "LAW ENFORCEMENT" on the white banner when it is a LEO vehicle...

Guest DSM wrote: Sunday, April 16, 2006 - 6:17

Nice picture. I really like seeing the Federal LE vehicles in these collections.

On a side note, US Forest Service Rangers are not LEOs, as the USFS hires Law Enforcement Officers (job title) for LE duties and Rangers for forest management and firefighting. So this vehicle is more likely a USFS law enforcment vehicle, and not a Ranger vehicle.

First of all you stated in a comment that you are from Syracuse New York. That is how we all know you are from New York. You telling somebody else not to crowd up the comments section is like the pot calling the kittle black. Most people just leave a comment if they know something interesting about a photo. However you leave dozens of comments daily about how much you like a lightbar or graphics on a vehicle. I think you are the one crowding up the comments section here.

I'm just saying that to prove my point that Tater has no life-the only life he has is looking at everybody's comments and putting his two cents in. Why don't you send me an e-mail when you want to tell me something instead of crowding up the comments? Grow some balls and state your real name!

Guest etg wrote: Monday, February 27, 2006 - 10:17

yeah, that comment below wasn't from "anonymous," it was from me...

how did he know that you live in new york anyway? my god in heaven, you must be severely, severely retarded. i guess you forgot somewhere in the 100 pointless messages you post a day that you mentioned that there is a picture of one of your hometown cars. that hometown was in - wait for it - new york. tater doesn't have to be a detective to figure it out there, genius...take your medication for the bipolar condition you obviously suffer from and take a nap...

Guest jw wrote: Sunday, February 26, 2006 - 20:25

No, I answered your question. Since I know something about this department.

Guest Jerred wrote: Sunday, February 26, 2006 - 18:16

First of all,I was just wondering about the policy because I have always wondered about it. Second of all,NOBODY ASKED YOU! JW and Barney Fife answered my question and I thank them for that. It was just a simple question, and I got all the answers I wanted,so mind your own business! How did you know I live in NY anyway?

Guest jw wrote: Sunday, February 26, 2006 - 0:11

Prior to 2000 the cars were gold and had their uniform patch on the front doors.

I think Cahokia lets the officers drive them off duty as long as they don't leave the town.
