I don't think I have ever seen a push bumper that big. Looks like they took off an IDOT truck.

Yeah, your right. My PD's slick-tops have corner strobes, lights on the pushbar, outside mirror strobes, and LEDs all the way across the top of the windshield (of course some people are clueless and still don't get out of the way).

I am so disappointed that this is the only THP car pic you have. This pic looks like it was taken at the Knoxville Headquarters.

YEA THE REASON POLICE AGENCIES USE THE CVPI IS DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF SPACE.NOT BECUSE ITS FAST WITCH TO ITS SIZE ITS NOT THAT FAST...AND SINCE MOST AMERICANS ARE BIG..WELL A MUST HAVE FULL SIZE POLICE CAR WILL BE IN DEMAND...THE IMPALA IS MAINLY USED AS A PATROL CAR IN URBAN REAS..AND THE CHARGER WELL FOR OPEN ROAD USE .OR HIGHSPEED PURSUITS.
Ok anonymous. I haven't read any numbers but it sure seems most departments are sticking with Crown Vics and Impala's over the Charger.

Ok anonymous, we get it. the charger is more powerful than the CV or the impala (according to you). Now please stop posting that under every picture of a police car!

I forgot to write down after I wrote "the major drawback for the Dodge Charger." Rear visibility is marginal because of the design. Nevertheless, the powerful engine, strong break performance, and the stability control are strong points for the Dodge Charger. In fact, the Dodge Charger is more powerful than the Chevy Impalas or Ford Police Interceptor

I speculate that if Ford stops producing the Police Interceptor, the choices will be Chevy Impalas or Dodge Charger. The guest implies that the Ford 500 is bigger than the Chevy Impala. If Ford decides to produce the 500 as police car, it will compete against the Chevy Impala. Because the California Highway Patrol loves the rear-wheel drive vehicle, it is highly likely that the CHP selects the Dodge Charger instead of Chevy Impalas or the Ford 500.The major drawback for the Dodge Charger.
I am actually suprised Ford hasn't yet offered the 500 as a police package just to see how they would go over. They appear to have more interior room and are much better looking car than the Impala in my opinion.

Indeed, some local police departments had started to drive the Ford 500 all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.
