A lot of times when lightbar companies come out with a new lightbar they will give a few of them to dept's to experiment with. That is probably the case here. The Vector bars did have takedowns and alleys. They had feature in the switchbox to use the white lights as takedowns and alley's.

Not a lot of thought went into this scheme. Their new cars look so much better!

They were probably just testing the vector out and only purchased a few of them. They mostly used the Whelen 9M strobes (without alley lights- can't figure that one out).
Does anyone know what the "kills" on the driver's door are for?

i enjoy the site alot but the number of lights on this car does look somewhat gawdy- but if the trooper that is assigned this car likes it then so be it.

I never knew or remembered GSP used Vector light bars. Did you recently take this picture? Where was it located?
I wished there was more pictures and that if the Crown Victorias on the top of the hill.

I did indeed take that photograph at the Victorville station on the way from LA to Las Vegas in....let's see, 2001! That was the only Impala they had, period! I was very lucky to find that one, and will try to scan in a better version of this photo, plus all the other views, if someone is interested. This car at the time was assigned to a female trooper, who, interestingly enough, got in trouble earlier with the garage for putting a red lens on the initially white left spotlight lamp on the front door. It was not CHP regulation, and it was a big deal. Then they added the red spotlight.

This is the Victorville Impala. Victorville is a test car station, and had a volvo also. This vehicle was used for regular patrol.

Best looking ISP cars I have seen in years. I think Dodge has finally gotten one kick butt police package. Grab Life by the Horns!

We get your point Greg. I wouldn't take it personally either. Part of the enjoyment of viewing the images is being able to talk with others about them.
