Yes, both this is a Whelen Patriot lightbar, or it could be the Liberty with colored lenses.

Yes imagine being chased by a tow truck. The top speed on this thing is probably 80 mph.

This is where the job can get done. If our local sheriff had one of these, the raods would be a lot safer. Imagin being chased by a tow truck. If the officer let you off, youd never brake road laws again.

This is awsome because my soon to be father-in-law is a retire Nashville police officer.

Guest roo wrote: Tuesday, August 16, 2005 - 9:06

this is a great web site.

Great looking car. Love the lightbar.

P.S: My inability to operate my new camera may earn me the label of "nitwit", as my 15 y.o daughter usually has to assist me with it. It's fairly comical.

Good to hear. Like I said, I have enjoyed your website and found it to be one of the finest on the web. If I can ever figure out how to work my new digital camera, I will send you some shots of our cars.

Thanks for replying.

Sir,

I was just making a silly comment about the general vintage of this car. I am a twelve year veteran of a west coast police department and usually not considered an idiot or a nitwit. By the way, I did not leave that earlier post about Adam-12 or whatever. I always leave the name "Mike" and never post anything obscene or rude. I've enjoyed your page for some time now, supported your advertisers and can't understand why folks feel the need to be so rude and sarcastic to your visitors.

Mike

Why is it a shame that there is cursive writing on the car? Must everything be block print? Is that some kind of law?

Guest Mike wrote: Monday, April 25, 2005 - 10:21

Unusual lightbar. Does it have strobes and LEDs?

Guest Mike wrote: Monday, April 25, 2005 - 10:20

Nice police car...shame about the cursive writing though.

Hey chicken little, if you're going to insult people here, at least have the balls to stand up for yourself and sign your posts or they'll just be deleted.

Guest Mike wrote: Tuesday, April 19, 2005 - 20:16

Oops, sorry. What I meant to say was that it's smokey and the bandit all over again, er, wait. I mean, golly gee, it's Roscoe P. Coaltrain, look out duke boys! No wait, adam-12, adam-12, see the man. No, no, what I really meant was... oh wait, I'm just an idiot.

Don't be so hard on yourself. You're not an idiot.
Nitwit is fine.

These photos are no good!! WORTHLESS!!! I need the make, model, VIN, bolt pattern, engine size, grade of oil and tread pattern of each and every vehicle! You should all hang your heads in shame for this sad excuse for a web site!!

By the way, what type of winch is that on the red GMC truck in the background!?!?

SWEET!! Cue the Hill Street Blue's theme music!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The cars in the tv show looked nothing like this and they were not this make or model. Hill St cars were based on Chicago Police cars- white with a blue stripe and red lettering. Yeah, this San Antonio car looks like that....
Are you one of those nitwits who yells, "Hey look. It's the Blues Brothers" anytime an antique cop car passes by during a parade too, or are you a "Where's Barney Fife?" type of guy?
Solid black is a classy look. Anyone know if this color test will be adopted?
Uhhh, this was 1998. Six years ago. No, it was not adopted and won't be.
