That's ok, I've owned '88, '92, '96 and an '01 SS Camaro in my life.......if I know somethin' about any of these cars that's definitely it.
There's subtle differences that distinguishes the different years the vehicle came out, kind of like you can tell on the Crown Vics with the taillights, and rims.
Hahah, or maybe I just pay to close of attention to this stuff. :P
OH, you got me, tho actually Dallas PD has no mid-90's Camaro's, they did not purchase the Camaro until 2002, the last year it was produced. They put 6 into service which are used for limited traffic enforcement still today.

Behind the Chevy Impalas, you see several Ford Police Interceptors on this picture. You also know that Ford Police Interceptors had not received a major redeisgn since 1998. Does anyone know that when Ford Police Interceptor has a major redesign?
Dallas still has a few random Caprices in services, one of which I saw the other day was an old 90-92 model with the old DPD graphics on it.
Going forward, Dallas PD's set to use the new V8 Impalas which it started putting into service this year.

It doesn't matter if a police car is weak on horsepower as long as the bad guy is caught. Most V6 power cars of today get the same amount of horsepower as they did in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.

RIGHT AND CHEVROLET MIGHT BE MAKING THERE WAY TOWARDS THE FORD MARKET WITHIN THE DALLAS POLICE FORCE SINCE FORD DROOPED DALLAS PD FROM THEIR FLEET SERVICE..
These vehicles were purchased for SWAT as well as patrol. SWAT officers wanted bigger vehicles, and they were accomodated because Chevy gave Dallas a deal in cleaning out surplus '06 Tahoe police vehicles......this made the bean counters happy.
There's subtle differences that distinguishes the different years the vehicle came out, kind of like you can tell on the Crown Vics with the taillights, and rims.

Going forward, Dallas PD's set to use the new V8 Impalas which it started putting into service this year.
Patrol:
05-07 Chevrolet Impala
05 Dodge Intrepid
05 and Older Ford Crown Victorias
94-96 Chevrolet Caprice (few still in service)
06 Chevrolet Tahoe
SWAT:
06 Chevrolet Tahoe
05 and Older Ford Crown Victorias
K9:
06 Chevrolet Tahoe
05 Ford Expedition
04-05 Ford Explorer
They also have a handful of Mid-90's F350 pick ups for mounted patrol, and a couple late 90's Ford Explorers are still in service as well.
Carry on.
