Check out the police cars from Yonkers and Great Neck, NY. They have used blue lights in past years. The pictures are on the site somewhere.

As far as I know....NYC Sherrifs are part of the NYC Department of Finance, they go out when they have to evict tenants from buildings, collect owed money from deadbeat businesses in New York City concerning city taxes, also they have a hand in towing autombiles from their owners who owe exorbitant amounts from parking tickets

"Is that the same as a parking enforcement officer?"

No, traffic enforcement officers are those guys who were directing traffic in the intersections when we cruised Manhattan at the NYC show. They drive dark blue vehicles, not white. This is assigned to CPP, whatever that means. Some NYer will know what division that is.

Since then all the patrol cars had the full hubcaps removed and the small center pieces installed. They kept flying off.

I have always been curious does the NYC Sheriff have a patrol division? Or do they just transport prisoners and serve papers? Does anyone know?
