Great shot. I'm looking for photo's of 1965 to 1969 Sheriff curisers used by the Butler County Sheriff Dept. If you have some, I would like to see them

At the time - and up to about 2004, most were A.F. owned and routinely hit the 150 thousand plus mile mark. Now all bases are on the G.S.A. contract & get switched out before high mileage creeps up.

Aside from the fact that "tater2" isn't even good enough to be classified as a wannabe, what I find interesting in this photo is the unmarked car on the left with the missing door trim.
It looks like it has all the indications of a full-fledged 2000 Ford PI like snap-on center hubs, black bumper and taillight strips, as well as black door handles. But the B-posts are blacked out, which was normally on the Street Appearance Package and civilian cars.

no i don't think every new squad car always get's new equipment i just ment i havent seen many around in a while.
i know about how departments use lighting and radios for years my 2004 cv had a 15 year old street hawk on it when i first got it.

They don't make it anymore. Do you think every new squad car gets new equipment. Many departments reuse lighting and radio equipment for decades. This department has probably used this light on several differnt cars over the past 20 or 30 years.

i didn't think they made those any more, its been a while since ive seen one .

In my opinion the 79-80 St. Regis/ Grand Fury are among the best looking police packages of all time along with the 77-90 Impala/Caprice and the 92-97 Crown Vic. To bad the 79-80 St. Regis/ Grand Fury did not run as well as they looked

WHAT A WASTE OF A PERFECT CAR

I'm from New England from a family of firefighters, our town is a Boston suburb, when my grandfather and great grandfather were on, there were fire police, they used to use a Ford milk truck conversion.

Tires "done up"? You mean like INFLATED? Oh yeah buddy. They look super sweeeeeeet, don't they? I can't believe a guy with a email name like SVT5Liter wouldn't already have a set of trim rings on every car you park in your parent's driveway as well as on the spare in the trunk....
