I never saw a light bar like that on a state unit. They always had the clear gumball with red & blue lenses -- at least through the mid-1980s. After that, they went to the JetSonic bar lights (with the blue on the driver's side) and the tan paint job.

As you do, I think the black and olive green looks much better. Sometimes the "old" look is good!

Yeah, that was a horrible looking color. They look much better since they went back to the old green/black colors that they had in the '60s and early '70s.
