    I guess this is a couple of years before Delaware fell in love with unmarked cruisers. In the mid 60's, each station had one fully marked cruiser, one low profile, and all the rest were unmarked, in either pastel blue, beige or mint green.

    The 49 Fords DSP had were the same cars any civilian would buy, they were not pkg. cars then.
    DSP bought 55 of them in 1949 and sprung for the extra bucks to purchase the extra cost "Gun Metal Gray Metallic" paint jobs...

    The first official "police package" production car offered with specific law enforcement options and accessories was the 1950 Ford. Chevrolet's police duty sedan was released in 1955 and Plymouth's in 1956.
