I don't think that box could hold that dude's lunch. I bet he didn't catch many crooks bailin' it on foot.

Where do you get a door shield like this one? What graphic company makes these?

Sa-So in Grand Prairie, TX, still carries these old style shields. About $65 to $85 a set, depending on reflective or not last time I looked. They also carry a lot of old style sheriff stars, which quite a few small TX sheriff depts still use. They are on the web. I believe at www.sa-so.com

That "box" is part of the light bar. The entire assembly could be raised about three feet with a scissors-like apparatus to provide more visiblity for the emergency lighting at accident scenes. The scissors apparatus is housed in the "box" under the lights. I don't remember who made them, but I seem to remember several LSP units being equipped with them. ______
This photo was taken at an airshow in Lake Charles, Louisiana in about 1972. A Blue Angel F4 Phantom crashed during the performance and this trooper was among many guarding pieces of wreckage. As I recall he didn't much like having his picture taken and he also didn't like me taking pictures of the wreckage. ++++++++++ Interesting story Mike. But what is that box on top of the car?
