uh, no. not all chargers are v8's. the v8 hemi engine has the mds system you're talking about. however, the charger is also available in a 3.5 liter v6. the police package is available in both the 3.5 v6 and the v8 hemi, with the v6 being comparable to the cvpi, according to some research.

while the cvpi is a good police car, i definitely think the charger looks good as a police package. although, they should have called it the monaco, or coronet, or something...not the charger.

all chargers are v/8's that i know of..they just have a computer system known as m.d.s. at low speeds the car usees six cylinders and at high speeds or at the needed time the motor turn's on the rest of the cylinders..

the v6 has a single exhaust coming out the right hand side and the hemi has duals if i'm not mistaken.

While AZ DPS might not have Dodge Charger, Maricopa County Sheriff has the Dodge Charger Police car. Is this V6 or V8 when the picture is taken? In fact, I cannot distinguish in between V6 and V8.
