LAPD didn't/doesn't have the word "POLICE" above the radiator. And, try as I may, I can't recall seeing one with pushbars. A "shop number" should appear below the word "POLICE" on the doors.

Don't think LAPD bought any 91-92 Caprices. I think they went from these to the 93 and newer style. They may have bought some Crown Vic's in 91.

Oh, and the '91 and '92 cars were the "bathtub" style body; so this is obviously not of that vintage.

This is an '87 to '89 Caprice. The '86 did not have composite headlamps, and the 1990 model had the seat belts attached to the doors instead of the B-Pillars.

This is probably not an actual 9C1 police package, because of the smaller mirrors and the chrome on the rocker panels and that thin stripe along the side of the car.

I think he meant "riding around in the back of one of these" during the riots...

no, it's not an 85. seriously, "anonymous," using a dictionary every once in a while wouldn't hurt you at all. and what makes you think he drives it around over there? the car has to be registered, don't you think? takes you back to the bad times...sheesh...
