These are actually the new markings, they have white with red/blue markings that were donated by Orange Park Police. Pretty slick looking with a bunch of lights.

Intriging....dunno if that's spelled right but oh well it's 2:45am but it'd be an alright design if it wasn't for the lion on the car.
For some reason I don't like the new police car of today. which is the Dodge charger I think it looks like crap.

The point of the thing, to answer another poster, is to make sure people see you sitting in the left lane of traffic at an accident scene or a disabled vehicle on the highway and they don't slam into the back of your RMP. It may not be for every where but for here in NY it works for us since we have busy highways and here people don't move away from your RMP until they are right next to it so they are helpful. Our Highway unit also doesn't need stealth because we have enough horrible drivers on our roads that wouldn't notice you if you had every light on your car turned on. Its not all about looks my friends, i like going home at the end of tour.

first off, no, that's not the led model. the led model looks different. the pods that contain the led's don't look like the halogen lights you see on this particular model. all of these models can be seen at mcdermottlight.com.
second, it doesn't have to be stealth looking when it's folded down. in case you can't tell, this set of lights is used in conjunction with a federal signal vision/vector lightbar. the vision family of lightbars isn't known for its stealth. the mcdermott lightbar tucks behind the vector, and is virtually unseen from the front until it's deployed.
and yeah, this car isn't deployed to airports to help with landing aircraft. airports have plenty of lights that have to be in constant operation to meet federal guidelines. this car does not assist with helicopter landings.
these lights are used to give long range notification of traffic problems that may be dangerous to traffic coming up to the accident site. they're also used to warn traffic of obstructions in the road, as well.
in the end, it really doesn't matter what it "looks" like. that's all a matter of opinion. this is just like the arguments of what graphics look good, or which ones don't look good. everyone has an opinion on the matter. i'm sure none of you would care what a police car looked like, or if it has the mcdermott high rise bar on it if it was coming to get you out of a jam.
What's so bad about the colors? I see white, blue and black. Those three colors are used on most police cars I've seen. What colors would work better for you?
