Saw this truck last week. It now has graphics. Should have taken a picture. It looks great!

We have about 15 thousand on our patrol car with the Hemi, and have had ZERO maintenance or performance issues with the Charger. Also generates lots of positive comments from the public. Best move we ever made.

Nah... The only person who would possibly object to your pict would be one particular gal who still, to this day, refers to herself as "Aunt Enna." I seriously doubt that the KHP would ever object to your photos.

I spotted the white one in Wyandotte County today. Apparently very stealthy, as I didn't notice it until I uploaded the photo!

(P.S. I'm not out to antagonize the KHP - if y'all would prefer your photos not be posted, I'll happily take it down.)

Dont mind the kid hiding behind the car.

This agency is the Cherryvale Police Dept. It is in Montgomery County.

I think that this will be a good move for the KHP. From what I hear from several troopers is that these cars are hard to recognize as patrol cars and maybe they will catch more violators. I hope the charger will hold up. I am sure it will.

Guest Martin Mazur wrote: Wednesday, July 26, 2006 - 9:22

So how many did each troop receive. I assume they are all HEMI'S

Guest Martin Mazur wrote: Wednesday, July 26, 2006 - 9:14

I thought I saw one of these working an accident on the news in the Kansas City Area. for a moment, I thought I was seeing things.

Nice to see KHP using MOPARs again!

15 were purchased as a test for the KHP. We will test them for a year of 2 and see how they work. As of today, they have done great, but only time will tell. We only have about 5000 on them and there's alot of things that can go wrong. We (KHP)will only purchase rear wheel drive cars as long as they last. We tried the Ford Tauras one time and those were crap. We took them off the road and gave them away to other non-road staff in the KHP. Anyway we hope they work because if Ford does decide to throw the Crown Victoria away, the Charger (if it holds up) will replace the Ford. Anyway hope this helps on some of the questions I have been reading. By the way, I am one of the 15 Troopers testing them. BE SAFE TO ALL

Does the Kansas Highway Patrol keep buying both Ford Police Interceptors and Dodge Chargers because they are real-wheel drives?

Guest jw wrote: Monday, May 29, 2006 - 6:01

Back in the muscle car days Mopars were never known for their good looks just their awesome motors. Guess the Charger will carry on that legacy.

Guest Chris Miller wrote: Sunday, May 28, 2006 - 17:39

The Dodge Charger is one ugly car. Dodge put the U in ugly. Man, I wish they kept the Intrepid.

Well, it's been almost 2 months now, where are they?

I think the AZ Highway Patrol is better.

Our PD, Willow Park Texas, recently put 2 of the hemi's on the street. I am extremly impressed with the Traction Control and handeling. Other cities close by have ordered a bunch of em. Based on the performance as a working Patrol Unit, we will go to an entire fleet and faze out our Crown Vic's.

Photos of your Chargers are already on the site, in the contributor by state/texas album... or I believe they are still listed on the What's New page

About the black steel wheels, they are available, just like they are for the intrepid and crown vic and impala. More than likely, what you're seeing are just full size wheel covers over the actual black wheels below.
