This is "NOT" the car that KSP uses. Apparently someone hade a laps in judgement for thinking this was in any way a decent looking car. Maybe they need to add curb feelers as well.

this is one of the nicest marked sheriffs units i have seen- very good colors for a sheriffs unit and the graphics are nice and not "over-done"--good work bullitt county-)

NO MOST GUYS ON HERE DONT REALLY KNOW WHEN FORD BROUGHT BACK THE CENTER HUB CAPS-IN 1998 WHEN THIS PERTICULAR MODEL CAME OUT(REDESIGHN)THE C.V.P.I.CAME OUT WITH THE BIG HUB CHROME HUB CAPS ALONG WITH THE CHROME GRILL-ALL THE WAY TILL 1999-IN 2,000 FORD NOW PRODUCED EVERY C.V.P.I. WITH CENTER CAPS AND A BLACKED OUT LUVERED GRILL THE CENTER CAP WAS POPED OUT AND MADE OF PLASTIC-TWO YEARS OR SO FORD REPLACED THE LUVERED GRILL AND GAVE IT THE CURRENT ONE BUT KEPT THE CENTER CAPS AND REDESIGHNED THEM TO A MORE CERCULAR ONE ISTEAD OF POPED OUT,AND THIS TIME MADE OUT OF ALUMINUM-AND DID NOT BRIG THE BIG CHROME HUB CAPS TILL A YEAR AGO

Was someone drunk when they put the graphics on this squad?

Like some other police departments, KY state polce had driven Ford Police Interceptors for long time. Will the police keep buying Ford Police Interceptor, or the new Dodge Charger Police car, or both?

you're a little late...the discussion over the hub caps has been over for a while now

One thing is for sure, it's not a CAPRICE! One of these next days when no one is looking i'm gonna take the wheel covers off an 03' and swap them with the center caps on my 05'. After I complete the task, i'm going to submit the photo so we can have an indepth discussion on the year model of my 05 C-V. Another thing the argumentive people of the world must note is the fact the grills in these cars all fit. We have a couple older cars still online that have the wrong grills in them because the body shops ordered wrong when repairing deer hits etc.

I think all of you are missing the most important fact in all of this and that is the Kentucky State Police is the best state law enforcement agency in the country.

wow, matt. we have no lives, yet here you are commenting on our comments. what does that make you? looks like the pot calling the kettle black. if we can look at cars and tell you what year they are based on minutia then guess what, genius...that means that people here know what they're talking about. that's the whole point of being experts in the hobby. again, if we have no lives, you must be the bottom of the barrel, since you've made it a point to comment on those that have no lives. grow up. people are going to leave comments on small things that might be insignificant to you. there's more to police cruisers than liking them because they go fast and have blinky lights on the top.

You all sound like a bunch of crybabies. "It's an 04".... "No it's an 05." Who cares? If you can look at a car and tell what year it is by the location of the am/fm radio antenna...you've got serious...serious issues. You need to get a life because you have way to much time on your hands!!

well, i wasn't going to chime in here, but i was looking this up, because i didn't want this feud to go on forever. i haven't worked for ford, but i have sold tires and wheels for a considerable amount of time. the wheel that is on the 2005 crown victoria police interceptor started being used on the 2003 models. the infamous hubcaps in question started appearing on 2004 models. i have a couple pictured in my photo archives. sorry if you work for ford, or not, but there's plenty of photographic evidence of said hubcaps on 04 models. like i said, the wheel is the same flat model that has appeared on the cv since 03. there are several websites that sell hubcaps where you can see they'll fit on the 03 and later. take a look at www.hubcaphaven.com, or just google ford hubcaps, and you'll see the models that are available. they run from 1998-2002 and then from 2003-2005. the 06 model is also different. and based on the photographic evidence greg has shown about the antenna, and considering the guy that took the picture has already weighed in stating what he knows, i would go with the car being an 04 model.

Ok Frank, since you claim to know everything about car because of its hubcaps, take a look at this car and BASELY SOLEY ON ITS HUBCAPS, tell me what it is:

Here's a hint- they are police caps are for a 1985 Ford Crown Victoria. Does that mean the car is a 1985 Ford?

And Mike, you need a pair of glasses. That antenna is mounted on the trunk lid, nowhere near the spot the am/fm antenna on the 2005 is mounted. Go take a closer look tomorrow when you get to work. Oh nevermind, just look here instead and you'll see the 05 antenna mount about 4" down the quarter panel:

i know that its a 2004 because im the one who wired that mx7000 to the top of it, i work there and i took the pic when we were done with the install, this car went into service 2 weeks after this was taken.

Just because you took the pic doesn't mean anything. That is a 2005 CV. Those hubs were only available on 2005 and newer models. Ford changed the hubs by adding the small holes to them. look it up, they started appearing on 05 models. The man works for a Ford dealer and you're going to argue with him?
