Yeah, increased safety/visibility by using yellow/lime cars was a fad for a few years in the seventies. I remember the Revere, MA PD had lime cars with white roofs. Fortunately, most PDs now use improved reflective graphics instead of unconventional paint jobs. Numerous agencies in MA have recently switched to "black and whites" with modern graphics.

I figured there were yellow cars used as pcs. I was told i was full of it. whats the story behind them using yellow? safety?
