No. These were crafted, constructed, and installed by the N.Y.P.B. (New York Push Bar) association. Note: They're currently in the process of designing "Pit Bumpers" for the edges / sides of N.Y.P.D. cruisers...

They didn't decide to stick with the halogen Vision/Vector. That is the all-LED Vision bar that etg mentioned.

I agree, it's a very good lightbar. I think NYPD tested out some all-LED lightbars a while back, but they decided to stick with the vision/vector, just like the CHP.

just as an fyi, and i'm not saying this car is equipped with one, but federal signal does put out a v-shaped led light bar. same construction as the vision/vector, but with solaris led assemblies in the pods. and there are those that swear by the visibility of the vision/vector bar. just because it's a design that's been around for a while doesn't make it "dated."
