Those are very sharp looking units, very nice. And usually all cities in Ohio, pay the same price for the Tahoes as well as other vehicles, gie or take a few grand. They usually get a bid contract with the state. I wish we had another Tahoe, we had one long ago and it is retired now. I would still take an Expedition Special Service Vehicle over a Tahoe anyway.

We have a no pursuit policy anyway so we dont need them to be pursuit certified.

And a comment about spending more on the stuff inside is pretty much true. We have all interior Whelen LED R/B lighting, rear LED Traffic Advisor mounted on the rear headliner, audio/video system by Stalker, Decauter Radar System, radio, no MDC or MDT but it would be nice, stobes in tail lights and corner lamps, headlight flasher, siren. All out stuff would easily come to about 10,000. We drive 2 2004 Dodge Ram 4x4 crw cabs (Owned by us), and 2 2005 Chevy Colorados (GSA Gov't Vehicles)

Indian Hill is the rich suburb of Cincinnati. The city probably makes a killing in taxes from it's residents which might explain purchasing so many Tahoe's.

That is a Pickaway County car. They are the only county in Ohio that uses all red light bars.

All I see are lightbars and push bumpers. What qualifies a Tahoe as a "toy"? Lots of police departments have opted for the larger SUVs for patrol purposes. It's not that odd to see them anymore.
Some departments will almost spend more on what goes inside the cruiser than on the vehicle itself.

have they got the toys, or what?
