From what I understand, the 07 vic and the old caprice run very similar times. Not the case when comparing the hemi against the 07 vic

i think the charger handles better that the caprice, and almost as fast....but the brakes are terrible after a while and the front end needs to be rebuilt after 70k miles.

Actually, the 9C1 Chevy Caprice was the best cop car ever made, but since it hasn't been made since 1996, and until Chevy decides to make a V8 "Wimpala" or bring back the full-size platform, I guess the Charger will have to do. At least it's not a Ford.

IMHO - Much space in the back for prisoners doesn't bother me at all. If they're guilty, I can only guess that the term "My Space" probably takes-on a whole new meaning? Just sayin'.

I think the Ford Police Interceptor was on of the best cars around, I don't know about the Dodge Chargers, they haven't been around long enough yet. I have heard they don't offer very much space in the back for prisoners and have a small trunk.
