Very few departments want to spend the money to custom-paint their cars today. Those "Rizzo Blue" cars were the sharpest. I think the red cars were probably discontinued because they were too easily confused with fire chief cars.

I liked the Blue the most.(I grew up with them) However, I dont think the red cars were that bad. They were unique in a way. I dont particularlly care for the new markings which were put into effect as a cost saving measure.
