i think the charger handles better that the caprice, and almost as fast....but the brakes are terrible after a while and the front end needs to be rebuilt after 70k miles.

As an avid emergency vehicle photographer and native Philadelphian, I wonder if someone (perhaps Tom Fraser) can tell me where these Expressway Patrol Chargers are based. They are definitely not at any local police districts, and I think stopping along Interstate 76 for a photo opportunity is not really a viable option.
Very few departments want to spend the money to custom-paint their cars today. Those "Rizzo Blue" cars were the sharpest. I think the red cars were probably discontinued because they were too easily confused with fire chief cars.
