In response to Guest Bill! " heh...misappropriation, much? "

This vehicle was not paid for by the taxpayers. It was bought by the person who was at fault in the accident that totaled the older model Crown Vic. that he had been driving. No county funds was used to purchase this vehicle.

This was when the state did away with the "Commercial Enforcement". They pulled the gray decals and slapped the tan on the white cars.

Hi, Just a note, when Pusser was sheriff 64-70, McNairy County was designated "50" county, and his plates starting with the black one in 65' and then the white ones read:
50 SHERIFF. A later realignment of counties changed McNairy to "53" county.

I've seen this car in a CMT documentary about Moonshiners.

The twinsonic was "state of the art" when it was first introduced. Cars were bigger and boxier then compared to today. The twinsonic looks big and awkward on this sleek body style. It looks like it could tip the car over

Guest JD wrote: Tuesday, December 5, 2006 - 17:40

Plain white. How come this one isn't brown/yellow?

Anonymous wrote: Monday, November 20, 2006 - 12:04

I am aware that this and the other "Constable" vehicles shown here are old, but they are in violation of TN Code Annotated. Only Sheriff's Vehicles can have green strips, Constable's vehicles must have brown striping. Just a little legal tidbit.

Dodge interpid is bigger than Chevy Impala. (Remeber, both Chevy Impala and Dodge interpid are front-wheel cars.) Also, Dodge Interpid is roomier than Chevy Impala.

well, looks like this police vehicles need some upgraded to visuals to looks of customise. i mean why don't MPD upgrade their visuals additional parts likes unique back flashlights sirens or unique rear spoiler on it. maybe additional flash lights must be apply at dual bumpers on it.thats it

Apparently you like reading the comments, and then to make yourself look important you comment on his comments. And at least what he leaves comments for is relevant to the photo, I dont see how bashing someones post is relevant to leaving a comment for the PHOTO. It says "Photo Comments:" Not Comment Comments:

Looks like Jason has taken Jarreds place here. Leaving a dozen comments a day.
