This is actually an early 70's Australian Ford Fairlane.

In my opinion this along with the Impala dosen't stand a chance against the Crown Vic.

Guest party boy wrote: Thursday, January 26, 2006 - 19:46

do you say that because the car looks "cool" or because it actually drives better?

Guest Robert wrote: Thursday, January 26, 2006 - 19:20

Australian Police Cars are Light Years ahead than Police Cars of the United States.. The Ford Crown Victoria V.S. this police vehicle? I'll take the Australian Police Vehicle anytime!

Guest Robert wrote: Thursday, January 26, 2006 - 19:18

I think this is where the Impala in the United States is heading..

These big bars are because the german police likes putting led displays on the back of them, telling messages like "STOP", "SLOW" or similar. can't say why the one to the left don't have.

Like a 1970s era Australian Ford Falcon, a four door version of Mel Gibson's coupe in the 1st Mad Max movie. From the years of apartheid. Didn't Ford and other automakers pull out of South Africa because of the apartheid policies.

Close, but not quite right. German unmarked traffic (autobahn)police have "AA" license tags on their cars, unmarked are usually biege, no roof lights, they still use a "lollypop" stick with small red light to make a traffic stop and the words "Stop" in red on the circle to get you to pull over. The Mercedes Gelandwagen SUV could be a "Grenzpolizei" or border police clone. Can't imagine them sticking those lights and siren speaker on a car capable of 220KM.

This is a Citroen DKW, called a "Duck" by a lot of Europeans, small 2 Liter engine, maybe smaller, no longer made, cheap to run and low tax since most European countries tax on size of the engine. Vary hard to handle, rear is, yes, corrugated metal. WIndows flip down! A bare bones rider. Phil Henning, Lt Col, USAF (Ret)

The police force in each of the 16 german states is wearing the same uniform/patch. The car style and colour is also the same. It varies a little from state to state with the type of vehicle. So Mercedes is driven in the south, cause the factory is located there, and BMW is driven in Bavaria, cause the factory is there. In Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen ) we drive VW, cause we have the VW factory here.
Every state decides of their police look, but they
come together cause they wanted to have the same
look for police in whole Germany.
Cause of the European Union and the fact that Germany was the only country with green police, some states will change to blue uniform for police soon.

Guest Sven wrote: Monday, October 24, 2005 - 13:59

The change of the uniform colour in the state of Lower Saxony ( Niedersachsen ) will be done in five
years. This is necessary cause of the costs for uniforms for about 15.000 officers statewide. Every officer can spend 200,- € per year for uniforms /equipment. For five years the amount will be only 100,-. The first package of the blue uniform is worth 500,-€ , so the five years will cover that.
Only the state of Hamburg will also change to blue
police colour soon. The other 13 states have not
decided yet if the change or not.

This picture shows the gunshot holes, cause the MP5 was fired from inside the police car by the officer.

Behind us... really. I was shown some equipment "you" would never see at a convention that a british agency made. I would say there up there with us. As for buying this, I would not need one as there is a car parked outside with a new LED bar on it, so i can have all the fun i want for free.

Guest William wrote: Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 21:15

lol, well theres former cars on here

Guest tater2 wrote: Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 20:46

Well, if its not a police car then it does not belong here.

Guest Tater wrote: Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 20:43

"Why do they have them big light bars?"

Because it's Europe and they're about 15 years behind those of us in the civilized world.

And to answer your next question, NO. They are not for sale.

Guest William wrote: Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 16:15

Why do all the police cars have the same emblems and design?

Guest William wrote: Sunday, October 23, 2005 - 16:11
