I had my doubts when I came up with the idea, but it is turning out nice. I will be sure to send picture.

I am using the doors from a 68 kit but I am trying to convert it to look like as 69 or 70. Everything is going well though and its turning out nicely. I found the pictures I needed. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That's sort of like putting the front end of a Corvette on a Ford pick-up. They are two entirely different body styles. But, good luck anyway. Can't wait for you to email pictures when you're finished so we can add them to the model page.

That is basically what I am doing but I am using the doors from the 68 Fury kit and the front and rear from the Roadrunner. If there is a better way to do this please explain it to me.
___________________________________________ Are you a bit confused? You point to a 1971 Fury and ask if it is similar to a 1970. Then you say you are working on a 68 model kit. You are talking apples and oranges. I would venture to say there are dozens of rear photos of 68s to 71s in the archives for you to look at. But 68 and 71 are a far cry from one another.

the 68 an 69 fury look nothing alike. why don't you take the time to stretch the 70 roadrunner model into a four door?

The reason I ask is I am going to try and take a 1970 Roadrunner model kit and put put the front and rear portion on 1968 Fury kit and make it look like a 69 or 70 Fury. I can't a picture of the rear of the 69 or 70 Fury anywhere. I am curious if it should look more like the 70 Roadrunner or the 68 Fury?

Does the rear of a 1970 Fury look just like this? __________________________________________________ I believe so. I always just look at the grille to tell the difference between 70 and 71.
Minor differences would be with the class of Fury. Fury 1 would have different tail lamps than a Fury III in some years.
Would a detective be driving a car loaded w/ red lights? Just checking.

Yeah, it's still in service as a people pleaser car. It's not a real police car. It was siezed from a drug dealer and now drives around to the local schools to impress the kiddies. American cops do not drive Corvettes as a regular duty car.

At the Dalworthington Gardens "Day With The Law" show in 2003, I talked with the DPS Trooper on the far left. The officer on the far right is Dalworthington Gardens' Police Chaplain.
