Each year a different police department hosts the IL D.A.R.E. Officer's Association Conference. In 2006, the host was the Bloomingdale PD.

I was wondering where this event took place and is it at this location every year?

I love this shot of the sleepy Hollow police cruiser. It has very excellent graphics on it and a cool red and blue lightbar. Good Job Mr. Arnold.

Restoring to IL State Police? What more needs to be done? Looks like it only needs stickers.

Guest 76interceptor wrote: Friday, December 29, 2006 - 16:46

The show was in Springfield. The car came from VA/NC area. Restoring to IL State Police.

If he can afford that $1M plus helicopter in the background, he can wear whatever badge or star he wants. 3 star in many places indicates a fairly large department. Some East Coast departments denote leadership with white shirts (Baltimore, US Capitol Police and recently DC Metro) for example). On the other hand, in CA it is rare. Sometimes readers miss the big picture for the little picture! My security forces troops rode in Vietnam vintage (yes, Serial Numbers 69) HH-1 helicopters for missile field airborne fire teams, we could have used Air 1! They still use these same 35 year old, but rebuilt, helos.

That is an AWESOME poster for display with your LAPD Car. I am currently restoring a 1971 Plymouth Satelite to an Adam12 clone. That is something I have been thinking about displaying with my car. WOW that is awesome. How did you come by that idea..? Thanks, Roger.

What agency does this GMC belong too, It obviously is not LE due too the amber lights. Could this be a highway department or DPW vehicle?

here we go...

Guest Phil wrote: Thursday, August 31, 2006 - 18:37

Which town in Mass. is it for?

Anonymous wrote: Monday, August 28, 2006 - 14:50

I know him, he lives near me in Hudson, NY. He is a volunteer firefighter. He used to have an old diplomat set up the same way.

That is a take-home cruiser assigned to a friend of mine. The car won "Best in Show." He wanted Marauder corners, and installed them, including blue LEDs in place of the cornering lamps. He also prefers a 2000 grille on the 2005 Ford. I believe he also has a set of show-only wheelcovers, which he had not installed at the time of the photo. As stated, MSP troopers are allowed some leeway, and many of them add their own lights and other equipment, such as satelite radio.

The Commonwealth of MA allows their troopers to keep them full time until a replacement is purchased. During that time they are responsible for their own maintenence of the vehicle. It is very possible the trooper opted to change them out.

Then why does it have Marauder turn-signal assemblies?
