Thanks Tony! If you hear of any others, let me know, would 'ya? It's lot harder than I thought it would be locating a '76 or '77 when you consider just how many were purchased by PD's (including mine) in Mass!

Looks like it's a privately-owned vehicle.

Guest Mike S. wrote: Thursday, August 24, 2006 - 13:37

Anyone know the owner of this car? My department is actively seeking a '76 or '77 Gran Fury for a historic cruiser restoration project. So far, we have had no luck locating one. If anyone has a solid lead on a '76 or '77, please email me!

Nice restore !! What make of Pontiac is it ?

Guest John Hayes wrote: Wednesday, August 23, 2006 - 23:20

Hey check the antenna in front. Doesn't this unit look like it has XM or Sirius radio in it?

This looks like a LENCO built special response vehicle, home office is near Springfield, MA. The company I work for used to buy them for cash-in-transit (what folks call an armored car) We now buy Griffin in Bahalia, MS who also makes special response vehicles. You can spot a LENCO with their unique slanted windshield. Nice rig for the PD.

Rex, the wonder K-9 ponders that orange soda in Billy's hand and the wafting odor of those 99 cent hot dogs in the background, but being a loyal partner to the Officer, decides, well, just to hang out the door and maybe the kid will give him his soda and maybe buy him a hot dog.

This original Polara is owned by veteran Deputy Mark Ramirez of Santa Clara Co. Yes this is the car we found in Montana in 2004. thanks to Gary H. for his keen eye sight.
