Interesting that they were using the red / blue lighting combination in 1980. Most Illinois departments with the exception of CPD didn't add blue until the late 80's.

Your car reminds me of my very first car back in the early 80's - a used (but solid) rust-free four door Plymouth Volare coated in metallic gold with lug-nut caps on the wheels as well. Wish I still had it!
Regardless, that's one sharp looking vehicle! And yes, Hanover Park should "Get-Over-it-Park" and support this retiree with this guy's work. What's next? The "Handover Park" police department? Just sayin'...

Message to 'Hanover Park' - "Get with it - promote your pride & your agency". In an age where too many people knock cops but need them more than ever, your leadership style seems a bit immature.

The very best picture on this website. This is why life is worth living.
i love how all throughout batman's history "gotham" is masked as new york, even hinted at being new york quite a few times, but never actually claimed as being new york. now batman returns comes along and crosses three lines of nypd history 1. SUV, breifly in the '90s there was a spurt of new suv's in service. mainly for b&t use
2. dark blue, the "old CPR" supervisors cars were the only dark blue nypd car that i recall seeing. good possibility i am wrong though.
3. GPD POLICE, the 1994 graphics fandango.
4. blue lights...soon, grasshoppa, soon.
then again, its a movie prop. and im way too far into it. friggin purist.
