I loved this picture of the old 37 ford patrol car. was this a real patrol car at one time, or is this a replica. I have a 1950 ford, that i made to look like a sheriffs car. iI have never seen any of these cars for sale.
they replaced the totalled one with a 2002 a few years ago. we took pictures of several of our police camaros last weekend and that officer was there with his.

This is not a patrol car. Patrol cars go on streets and patrol neighborhoods. This is a DARE car for a school district police dept. The officer uses it to get back and forth from home and work, to show off to kids in order to get them interested in something other than drugs, and as a public relations car. School cops can't drive their cars at work, the hallways are to narrow.
This a great vehicle I really like your Mustang. I was wondering if you bought your car like this or did you convert it. I am hoping in converting my Mustang into a Police Interceptor. Thank you for your time Carlos. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ This Mustang, like most all police Mustangs you'll see at shows were real SSP (Special Service Package) police cars that have been restored
I do not think that car is around anymore, unless Grapevine had more then one Camaro this car was rolled in a high speed chase and totaled back in fall 2002. You can see a roll cage in that car so that is one SMART department. I think that any and all Police Camaro's should have a roll cage. That is or was a 2000 Camaro B4C but they are titled as a Z28, they have the LS1 engine and can go about 160mph.
I'm also looking for a policecar like these can you send me some adresses on the internet where I can find those cars? I'm from the Netherlands and I like American cars
Retired from Shreveport Police Department, Shreveport, La. in 1983. Also retired from NATB-NICB July, this year. Now reside in Montgomery, Tx., just north of Houston. Enjoyed reading about this web page in the Houston Chronicle. Good web page and good job - Donnie Nichols
