Do you know what years this car was in service for the governor? Also is the stand-up hood ornament an add-on or is the attached ornament factory correct? Thanks!

What's that up there between the two 73 Plymouths? Is that what I think it is? Could it be a big box of pretzels?

Yes, this vehicle is for sale and can be yours for $125.00, but you need to hurry, there is a fellow in the south that buys all our cars then sells them to movie and tv people to wreck.
Nice example, as are all of the cars at the NYPD show! I got assigned to CA in 1971 as a young security policeman having spent all my youth on the east coast area. I noticed immediately that (1) all CA police cars were pretty much black and white and (2) they seemed to not favor roof mount rotating lights, back then would have been a single FS&S blue or red center mount or a FS&S Twin Sonic (really moving up in the world!). They had the straight forward steady reds and wig wag ambers or maybe a blue/amber combo rear facing seen on this car and remarkably wind up sirens vs. electronic style. Now of course they have the full jumble of lights except for some CHP units.

I think it would look better if it was a un-marked unit.
....so since you gentlemen were there, any explanation as to why the NY/NJ Port Authority went to the red/blue color scheme??? I know some have been used in the past as temporary fixes while equipment was on backorder, but is this a permanent change?

(response to an earlier question) The auxilary decal can be seen on the lower portion of the rear door. I have seen these decals in red also, and the placement is not always uniform; sometimes doors, sometimes rear fender, etc.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In this case, the "Auxiliary" decal on this car was a magnet slapped over the blue stripe. This was the car we drove over to catch the boat to Liberty Island.
Yes, it is mounted higher in order for the lights to be visible when the McDerrmott is in the down position.
Does it look like the light bar is raised higher than a normal FSC Vector ?
NYPD is using a blue colored lens cap.How come the change ??? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Learn to read captions and look at the pictures a little closer before leaving your comments. Nowhere does it say that this is an NYPD car because it is not. It doesn't look anything like one either.
