I thought they used the 'Gran Fury' in '77 - and they were white with that same shield on the doors...?

Houston, TX PD used these type lights from the mid-1960's to 1973. The light is a Federal Beacon Ray Model 175H. Excellent at night...lousy during bright daylight. I remember the hill light reflecting off the side of buildings in downtown during low light periods.

Because I've been to the NYC show 5 times with three different cars and have never even received an honorable mention. My wife and I were sitting in the back row chowing down on burritos when my name was called. I was wiping re-fried beans off my face while walking up to get my trophy. In other words, I was in shock.
And by being in two places at the same time.
Guess the R-body was a Hit.
