That is one of the many semi marked Chevy Tahoe's Alabama put on the road around 2005. Colors range from the blue you see to black, gray, and maroon. All are PPV's and all have hidden lights. They also added some Ford Expeditions, Explorers, and Excursions in their SUV "Study". The added room was welcome to the troopers who were assigned these vehicles, but the sluggish preformance and fuel consumption left a lot to be desired. I suspect they will be phased out with the exception of the "weight crews" who really need the space for the mobile scales.

What nice picture of Florida best

Obviously the guy changing the tire is the trooper that drives the vehicle and the one FSP trooper is helping him.

The other two are offering their moral support. :-)

frankly, I think it would be wonderful if Florida seceded from the US... or maybe even sunk into the ocean and take dragon with it. Nothing but crooked politicians, blue hairs and serial killers there anyway.

Guest etg wrote: Saturday, March 3, 2007 - 18:01

eat your words, dragon. the last time i checked, FEMA stands for the Federal Emergency Management Agency, not the Florida Emergency Management Agency. the red cross is also a national organization. if a hurricane strikes any state, the federal government declares disaster areas and states of emergency. we live in the united states of america, not the confederate states of america. just as firefighters and emergency responders from all over the country responded to the 9-11 tragedy in new york and washington d.c., louisianans received help from all over the country because it was the noble and american thing to do.

"crying for help." you should pray that you should never have to endure the pain and suffering the people from louisiana did, for if you had, i'm sure you'd take the hand of any non-floridian willing to help you out.

what a pathetic comment from such an ignorant point of view.

All I have to say is this-Florida rocks! As you all know, hurricanes are very common in Florida. Florida is the only state that is prepared before and after a hurricane strikes. You notice we never cry for help like other places...

Do you idiots ever read any of the captions on the photos? He's delivering those MREs to Katrina victims, not for his own lunch.

Florida Highway Patrol vs. Mississippi Highway Patrol. Who do you think looks better?

Anonymous wrote: Tuesday, June 13, 2006 - 8:27

When I saw the picture, I noticed that the Alabama State Police drives a blue truck. Is a blue truck a Chevy Suburuban or Chevy Tahoe? Also, is it 4-wheel drive or a real-wheel drive?

Actually, my message was a response to a comment no longer on this page. The original comment was about overtime being paid while the troopers just stood around and making the sgt. change the tire.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The comment that is no longer on the page was from someone who is not welcome here anymore but just doesn't seem to understand what that means. His comment was deleted, but yours wasn't. As a result, it now looks like you're asking a dumb question. If you want your comment deleted, let us know and we'll remove this string.
Apparently you are too stupid to realize this is during the Hurricane Katrina relief and that officers from around the country responded. And they combined resources such as having vehicle repair facilities within the command post areas. Flat tires were the biggest problem with all the debris.
Anonymous wrote: Sunday, April 2, 2006 - 23:27
Why would Florida Troopers be changing another agency's flat tire?
