Awesome model, I have recently started to build models again after a very long absence from the hobby, I love Big Rigs"driver" and old station wagons, Any advice for finding station wagons from the 50's & 60's? jim , salkoesacres@aol.com

Hi, these models are excellent and are just what i am trying to collect. Do you have any for sale?
Thank you.

The body and grill are from an old '60s issued AMT kit. I found it in a junk box at a swap meet. It has better proportions than the newer issued '67 for making a sedan. The roof is modified from a 1970 Impala re-issued kit. Chasis is from the newer AMT '67 Impala as well as the dash, steering wheel, and rear bumber. Tail lights, seats and door panels were scratch built.

you made the model for yourself, but photographed it at Greg's ....

No, it is not a resin kit. I made it from an AMT 2-door kit and put a new roof and trunk onto it. Sorry, I only make models for myself. Dave Neuman

Hi, Arden Marquardt here from Sioux City, IA. '67 Impalas are my favorite and to see a model of a police car...very kool. You have done an excellent job. If you go to www.impalass427.com > Message> post on a '67 police car for sale on ebay...check out the hubcaps for reference.

How did you acheive the 4-door sedan model? Is it a resin kit?

Would you be interrested in making me a model like this?
I have a '67 Impala, 4-door hardtop and would like to have a model of it.

Keep up the excellent work.

Now this model looks like a carbon copy for the cars that were used in Michael Mann's Tv show "Crime Story".The year depicted was 1963,and the cars used in the series in Chicago was either 1960 Fairlane Custom or 1959 Galaxie Town Sedan and Town Victoria Sedan in which some were painted that blue and white scheme and a few black sedans which was the 59 Fords mentioned along with a 59 Custom 300 Four door sedan which was the sharpest car out of the bunch.

This photo brings back memories; I was an Auxiliary
Patrolman back in the 1970's at the 104th PCT, where I grew up in Ridgewood, NY

Greg

Do you know where I could find one of these kits?

Guest Dave Neuman wrote: Friday, July 30, 2004 - 5:32

This began as a junker Jo-Han promo hardtop. I just cut the roof off and replaced it with the '68 Fury police car roof. Then I scribed in new door lines. This roof is identical for 1965-1968 sedans.

Beautiful Sedan! Excellent job !
How do you do that from either convertible or hardtop to four door sedan roof? Is it from 1968 Fury Police car roof?

Guest Dave N. wrote: Monday, December 15, 2003 - 4:32

This was made from an old Jo-han promo toy. The 2-door hardtop roof was removed and replaced with the '68 Fury sedan roof. Then I just scribed in the back doors. I have also done this to '66 and '67 Fury promos, the Fury sedan roofs were all identical from 1965 to 1968.

Guest walt ronk wrote: Friday, December 12, 2003 - 10:57

Very cool.... was this done from sheet plastic? or did you start with something like the johan 68 fury kit??? I want to do a 66 fury like the car I had 20 years ago

Guest Dave N. wrote: Monday, December 1, 2003 - 4:33

I didn't convert the grill to fit the car, I converted the car to fit the grill. Actually all it required was cutting out the Dodge grill divider and filing the corners a little more square. I didn't use resin parts.
