Anonymous is correct, the pocket flaps should match the shirt. Only the epaulets are dark on an Ohio uniform. Utterly fantastic job in all other respects. Jim puts the rest of us to shame.

Dear Jim

Where can I purchase this GI Joe

I'm tempted to call you a dick but then the rest of the whiners and no-names would complain. Do you think he stitched the shirt together himself? It's a freaking G.I.Joe, you pinhead. Oh, and another thing. It's spelled epaulet.

uniform good except shirt pocket flaps should be same color as shirt, OSP only has black epolets

The figure is another brand, but the same GI Joe scale, this one I thought was more acurate and has realistic expressions etc....the patch was made in MS Paint and printed off, the uniform was my wife's contribution, the brass and badge, and some of the leather gear and radio is made sculpted in polyclay "sculpeyII" and then covered in chrome foil or painted..the trooper hat brim is a simple cardstock circle with the dome being clay...on all of this equipment, the real world dimensions were simply divided by six. The car was built in the same manner with foam core board being the chief component, however there is a one by one strip of wood running bumper to bumper to hold the frame....none of the parts are comercially available they were all built form the above listed materails..even the door handles. The chrome trim is actually door edge guards that you can find at any aftermarket auto parts store. The seats, roof liner and rear window deck are cloth. the antennas are styrene rods (they have more "wobble" than metal) I do a different paint process on this scale it's all sealed with Minwax clear hi-gloss laquer...this is a water base product so you can not paint enamel on top of it. I like the hi luster it gives and can also be polished or waxed..it's thick and wouldn't be good on smaller scales..the other key factor is that enamel will not cure on polyclay...but, the topcoat of laquer takes care of that...The decals are actually the same 3m scotchlite tape used on the real car so they are reflective. If you want to do something like this,....stay focused, experiment...and keep in your mind two or three steps ahead of yourself since there isn't any plan to fall back on. I'm more than happy to help with any questions you have along the way
