No, I like to stick to plastic kits, I find them to have better detail, and to be easer to work with.

Have you tride making this car in a Gearbox metal body in 1/43 scale? Id love to see it!

Guest Andy wrote: Friday, June 15, 2007 - 12:37

I had strained it out but when I attached it to the vehicle it bowed again, I was rather disappointed with the result my self.

How did you get the rear doors to open? Did you build this model your self or was it pre made? If its was pre made, where can I get one? Great model. Good detail. Better than what I can do for sure.

Thanks for your comment. This Chevy Silverado was manufactured by Anson which, unfortunatelly, doesn´t exist any more. The scale is 1:18.
Except the base model, everything on that vehicle is completely made on my own (Lightbar,Decals/Graphics..)
If you are interested you can see my current "project" and some of my other custom made vehicles on following homepage:

This model look real nice, except for the lightbars.
It would look even better as an LAPD cruiser.

Anonymous wrote: Monday, June 4, 2007 - 10:59

Where are the pushbars?

Anonymous wrote: Tuesday, May 29, 2007 - 6:16

Smart isn't exactly your strong suit, is it?

Guest chazmaster wrote: Wednesday, May 23, 2007 - 16:03

is this real car or a model? because if it is real i dont think it shuold be on this site. if its model its very nice though.

Prospective recruit -- Jack's right on the money here. If you pass the mandatory background check, you must first submit to a physical endurance test consisting primarily of running LAPs. If you score below C-grade (i.e. - a "D") then you fail. That's really all there is to it!

Anywho... An outstanding model!

Hey, be sure you print out this picture of a model car and take it with you to your interview, should you even get that far. Tell them you want to drive one just like it. It'll surely get you hired.

Guest Jack wrote: Tuesday, May 22, 2007 - 16:49

You definiely picked a strange place to ask that question, buddy. Just go to the LAPD website. There, you'll receive the information you're probably looking for.

Anonymous is correct, the pocket flaps should match the shirt. Only the epaulets are dark on an Ohio uniform. Utterly fantastic job in all other respects. Jim puts the rest of us to shame.

It looks very clean and perfect!!. What is the scale and Brand of this models Philippe?

Guest Isaac wrote: Wednesday, April 18, 2007 - 3:34

Jason Burdette, are you willing to sell this DPS model car?

Guest JW wrote: Tuesday, April 17, 2007 - 20:17

No companies have ever cast an 80's Diplomat / Grand Fury kit. This late 70's Monaco is the closest kit you will find.

Guest Isaac wrote: Monday, April 16, 2007 - 17:32

Where can I purchase a model of a 1980's Dodge Diplomat Texas DPS car?

Guest JW wrote: Friday, April 13, 2007 - 23:26

John;
Where did you get the hubcaps on this model?
