The lightbar is scratchbuilt. It's easy to do if you break the bar down to its' basic shapes. The lenses were from MV lenses, used for model railroads.

Thanks. This was one of my earlier tries at a car from my job. I had the lettering custom made by a decal service catering to model railroading. I actually gave this car to a co-worker. I sorely regret it.

I need to log into this site more often. I eye-balled the shade. Since I do a lot of military I had plenty of tans, and this one looked right. I had to build this one 'cause ISP terrorized us as we sped from Western IL Univ. and home.

Boy, it's been a long time since I visited this site. This car was released by Monogram and was built straight outof the box.

This is a nice what if car. To my knowledge, CPD always bought full size cars in the '70's and ran blue Mars lights. They only use red & blue at the airports.

I have been looking for a 1979- mid 80's Chevrolet Suburban model for some time, If anyone know's of a company that makes them, or where I could find one could you please let me know?

Guest jw wrote: Monday, February 5, 2007 - 20:12

Go to www.policecarmodels.com and you can buy a bunch of model lightbars. You will have to paint them yourself though. If not go to ebay and get a MPC Dodge Force police car kit. They are getting hard to find though.

Guest George wrote: Monday, February 5, 2007 - 17:49

Any chance you can tell me where you got that light bar? Thanks for your time in advance.
