Is that really 1/43? I thought that generation INtrepid was only made in 1/24 as a diecast...looks good though..

Guest matthew wrote: Wednesday, December 6, 2006 - 10:14

What model did you use to make this car? I didn't know the Concorde was made in a kit, or is it diecast? Thanks.
The car looks great.....

Thanks for the info.

Hello Pete,

concerning your request, i can tell you that as far as i´ve seen, this model seems to be made by "Cararama/hongwell" (a part of Simba/Tamiya/Dickie Toys). This item usually comes along, either with an Fire/Police Truck, or an Suv (Land Rover,Mercedes M-Class...etc)(look at the following private hompage, this guy has a large choice of this vehicles!!)

http://www.martinhongwell.de/html/trailers.html.

It is made in scale 1/43 and the price for this item is about 3,- to 5,- EUR max. It is highly detailed for an "simple" toy. Because it is not an special collectible you should find it at "Toy´s are us" or at any other shopping center. I hope this will help for your search

Greetings from fürth (germany)
Philippe

Thank you Comrad Patrick!

When people wonder why cops drive such big cars, it is obvious they have never seen all the gear that has to go in the trunk.

Guest Larry wrote: Saturday, November 4, 2006 - 14:56

I remember this car from whin I lived in Huntington Beach. I believe SBPD got it as an impound, then built it up as a speed enforcement vehicle (or so I heard). Good job on a true one of a kind car.

Is this the old Jo-Han kit?

Guest Larry wrote: Saturday, November 4, 2006 - 14:25

The test was of (I believe) six cars through the state. I was pulled over by one in Redding CA.

The word "scratchbuilt" means "built from scratch"

Guest jw wrote: Friday, August 11, 2006 - 20:21

Wish we could get a resin company to cast this as well as a Diplomat in 1/25 scale in the near future.

Guest Bear wrote: Friday, August 11, 2006 - 20:14

I would love to also know where to find this or the blue prints for scratch building it. I would be glad to find these in 1/43 die cast. Wish one of these model co's would make more vintage or 80's vehicles.
