The kit comes as an Impala and does not come with any police equipment.

I would like to know, I have been checking out this kit from Modelhaus for quite sometime, does this kit come as a Belair or an impala I saw the photos of the Chicago car and the taillights were from a belair. Also does the kit come with any police equipment, this car in this photo is great.

i remember this rig when i lived in ny .saw this when rescue 3 was operating out of 181st in manhatten with eng.93,lad.45,batt.13 in the mid 70s.

i was asking for information about decals or how i can make my own.

nice car i would also like to know where you got it also would you be intrested in building a 1963 or 1964 dodge 880 four door sedan. I have been serching for one for a very long time

i built my own esu truck and hinge the back doors on mine .need to find decals or make them can any one help me ? please respond .

That is very cool. I'd love to know more about these cars. SS396s? Is there an online link with information about them? How many were purchased, how they were speced out. This photo looks like white over black with a single spot light and single light. I'm not sure if you made this from the RC2 1:18 scale 67 Impala or a 1/25 scale model. I'd love to see it in 1:18 scale.

Any more information would be appreciated. All in all a very near car and nice model.

The Indiana State Police did purchase the ImpalaSS version in 1967 for their patrol cars.

Great model, we ran a '69 R model pump, and we currently have a '82 R model pumper/tanker in service.

I believe this is a resin kit that Modelhaus offered at one time. I believe they discontinued it long ago.

The NYPD Crown Vic above was available (discontinued) from Testors and Classic Metal Works in 1:24 scale diecast. The Testors version comes in kit form. You can still find them on Ebay under search "CMW" or "Testors".

This is not a kit. It was scratchbuilt by Tom Sheehy and was made from an old JoHan promo of a 2dr '65 Polara with the roof from a '68 Plymouth Fury police kit grafted on to it. When modelers want to build a car that is not available in a kit, we just build our own.
