Photos of restorations or actual in-service unmarked "other" police cars. All cars (or photos of in-service unmarked units) must be 25 years old or older.
I actually saw one of these CHP volvos in Los Angeles a few weeks back. Still had the black paint, spotlights, and CHP pushbar. I thought it looked sharp.
Adam 12 did significantly enhance the Sale of these vehicles. However , it wasnt enough to maintain American Motors. Like the Checker Marathon, this model Would have been ideal for the LT police model over the generations
Several departments have had relative success with Volvos. Ford thought that disquising an S70 and rebadging it as a Ford full-size sedan would eliminate the CV p-71, they were wrong!
Just curious. Is this one of the test Volvos I heard the CHP had a few years ago?

I know that they were differnt companies. I used to own a Rambler Marlin. Rambler, Nash, Jeep and I think either Hudson or Packard all became American Motors. I wouldn't say Rambler was ancient when the Matador was made. I know they were still in business in 1968 or 69.

American Motors or Rambler. Either way the guy is probably right about Adam 12 being boosting the sale of these ugly cars.

The TV Show ADAM 12 did more to SELL this car than anything Rambler could do
That is one nicely done AMC Matador, I wish I had a car just like that, but like the 1970 Mercury Montego, they are very, very hard-to-find these days!
