This would have to be after 76. That is an 80's model Monte Carlo in the background.

I do not know what state or department this Chevy Suburban is from but it has the most colorful lightbar I have ever seen. It also has a very impressive heavy duty bumper and grille guard. Does anyone know where this truck is from and what it is used for?

Wise County EMS, Decatur, Texas. It is a supervisory response unit. The bar is typical, just with green added to designate it as a command post.

What kind of a rescue truck or department is this? I have seen alot of pictures of firetrucks and ambulances from nearly every state and this is the first one I have seen with nearly 100% blue emergency lights. What happened to the red lights, why doesn't it have any? I am used to mostly red lights on firetrucks and ambulances. With all those blue lights it looks more like a police truck than a rescue vehicle. Is this some sort of a reserve truck used by volunteer firefighters, is it not used as an emergency vehicle at all? Please explain its purpose and why it has so many blue flashing lights.

This is a volunteer search and rescue organization in Garland Texas. It is a private group, not affiliated with any government. They don't transport victims. This is probably an old Garland FD ambulance that was donated. I don't know if they are authorized for emergency runs but I doubt it. In Texas, Blue lights are not illegal. You see many security companies using them as well as highway construction vehicles.

I shot this picture at an event. I have nothing to do with Garland Rescue so please don't hold your breath waiting for them to contact you or you may end up needing their services. If you want to join them, contact them directly, please.

I have a 1971 Chevy Ambulance with about 55,000 original miles that I want to sell. Is anyone interested?

I just spotted one of the Chevrolet Suburban ambulances in a Colorado boneyard. I wish I could restore that 1969-1970 Chevrolet ambulance as good as new. What location really is the 1969-1970 Chevrolet ambulance in a Colorado boneyard?

Those two Suburbans are sitting in Walsenburg, CO, on a sidestreet, visible from the main east-west road heading oout of town to the west. Some type of wrecker service/junkyard.

This one was a 1969-70 Suburban, due to the 6 lug wheels, and the hood bowtie emblem.
