Dave Arnold's 73 Fury   RSS
I purchased this 1973 Plymouth Fury II in May, 2004. I picked it up in NY and drove it all the way to Dallas without a problem.

The car equipped to represent an Illinois State Police unit. All electrical equipment was installed by Bill Myers on the way to the car's debut at the NYC Police museum show in June, 2005. Graphics by Dave Sechrest were applied by Greg Reynolds at the onset of the NYC show.

The car was shown at all three of the big shows: NYC, Chicago and Ripon. After the Ripon show in October, 2006, the car was sold while I returned home. It now resides near Yosemite in California.

If you're doing an unmarked car, why would you want to paint it blue with a white stripe?

He wants to make a 2 door with INTERCEPTOR on the trunk? This is a joke, right? Where do these people come from?

Dave ; nice picture ,but i have a question for you and was wondering if you can help me.I am currently doing up a 1973 plymouth fury 3,2 door as an unmarked N.Y.C police interceptor . I had plans on doing it the blue with white stripe paint design with interceptor on the back of the trunk lid.my question is this 1.what style of headlights did the use to produce the red glow or is that just a red light and also what style of spotlight should i be using. As far as the other things I already have the 7 inch stock rims with police centers heavy duty suspension and 440 engine.I also need to know if there is a place where they sell looka like police radios(1973 style) I want this to look as original as possible as I will be taking this vechicle to car shows as soon as it is completed .Thanks for the help

First off, let me say that your car, as a 2 door, will be totally incorrect. We in this hobby strive to make the cars as close to actual as possible. Secondly, for the information you are looking for, consider joining the copcar dot com forum. There are people there who can answer your questions as to color codes, spot lights, red lamps, etc. But as a warning, they will be totally against the idea of making an NYPD car as you are describing. You will catch flack. I just want you to be aware of that before you join.
