Dave: This car brings back a lot of my childhood memories!!!!!! my brother joined the CHP in 1975 when i was six years old. the first CHP unit i rode in was a 1974 Monaco. i was enthralled with this car as it had a great impact on me. great restoration job in and out!!! i hated to see it go to germany though. great website!!!

Oh, the power of Photoshop. Hey, at least I'm not like the redneck on E Bay who uses a REAL American flag as a backdrop to lay his greasy parts on and take photos.

Gee, no offense meant to you either Mr. Anonymous but where the hell are you going to find a 3,000 sq ft American flag and then why would you go and park a car on it?

There's needs to be a standardized nationwide aptitude test for these idiots with unsupervised computer access after school and before their parents come home from their minimum wage factory jobs.

No offense, but with the shadow where it is, it looks like the Monaco is driving on top of the flag.

What year is this Monaco? Is it a Ford?

Hey,
Coole wagen man! Zeer goed gerestaureerd zo op het oog te zien. Ooit hoop ik ook zoiets te kunnen kopen. Het liefst een dodge charger of mooie andere muscle car.

Loosely translated means:

"Cool car man! Very well restored this way. I hope be able buy also something like that. Kind of like the beautiful Dodge Charger or other muscle car."

Thanks,

Dave

What a pristine example of a beautiful car. I am impressed with the efforts in photographs, although I would like to see some dead on side views with solid background. I've already swiped a few of these pics to use as wallpaper. Great job on the restoration. Any plans to photograph the interior?

I'll try and do some straight shots. Pretty hard to find solid background, I usually photoshop the background myself for wallpaper. I'll do the interior when it gets done

Don't recall the year of this car but I spent a lot of time driving them for the CHP.

Hello! My name is Alex Carter. I need to borrow your 1974 Dodge Monaco California Highway Patrol car that you've already been restoring.

Guest Chris wrote: Monday, July 22, 2002 - 13:49

Another GREAT car, keep up the good work. Are you bringing it to Chicago 2002??

Guest ben wrote: Sunday, July 21, 2002 - 17:51

Awesome cars, but are you legal to drive the blue one, Considering it has the red lights?

Answer: Yup, I am. and the B& W car has red lights too!

Guest Tony Sollecito wrote: Monday, July 15, 2002 - 9:40

Dave: It looks like your building this as a CHP unit. FYI: The "E" plate would be incorrect for a state unit. The plate you have on it would be for a city or county. On the state "E" plate the "E" was in a diamond rather than an octogon.

And Dave says:
Yup, I know. But I have been unable to locate a diamond E plate, so the octagon is temporary until I do.
