No, sorry. The FLPD does not still have a 73 on their lot. In actuality, it belongs to one of their officers who restored it. Though he does occasionally park it on their lot.

Fort Lauderdale PD does in fact still have a '73 marked Plymouth Fury in their lot!!

Polk County also drove 78 Chevy Novas, they were great in curves and on highways, but got stuck in the sand easily, because there was no ground clearance. Overall, it was a great car for the time.

When i saw this photo,it really brought back memories to me. All though i was a deputy in brevard conty,we drove novas just like this one, only painted green and white. It was a great car,and i liked patrolling in it. I now live in missouri, and i have restored a 1950 ford as a sheriffs car. thanks for the memory.

How do some of these people stumble across this web site?? Do they really think the Ft. Lauderdale Police Department would have a 1971 model squad still on the road? Or why would they think a PD could tell them how to fix there car or have a car that is 20 or 30 years old for sale.

How many sandwiches constitutes a picnic?

Guest Tater wrote: Friday, August 27, 2004 - 9:52

Here's some advice you dipstick- TAKE YOUR CAR TO A MECHANIC!!

You appear to be a couple sandwiches short of a picnic.

I have a wagon that is just like this but it is not a police car. It is running very rough right now, almost like I have a hard time strating it. can you give me some advise that I can check in to fixing it?

Please do not mention knives again. Tater gets nervous.

Guest trp1 wrote: Sunday, June 27, 2004 - 17:10

Its hard to feel offended coming from someone named tater.

Guest Tom wrote: Friday, June 25, 2004 - 13:22

By now, everyone has figured out that Tater is not the sharpest knife in the drawer

Guest Tater wrote: Wednesday, June 23, 2004 - 0:22

Tpr1, are you playing on your parents' computer without permission? You ask the dumbest questions I've ever seen. Why don't you go outside and ride your bike or something and leave the computer alone for a while?

I remember as a kid walking by the FLPD station on Boward Blvd and seeing these police cars everyday. Wow does this photo bring back the memories!
