Most of the unmarked are supervisors though. Still a good looking car, plain but to the point!! And I'm not just being biased because I live in MO or that I'm rebuilding a MSHP car.

I would have to agree with the last comment. They also have a lot of unmarked units and they are very good about catching speeders.

Having lived most of my life in Missouri, I am probably prejudiced, but I think our Highway Patrol cars are better looking than those of surrounding states. Dating back at least to the 1960's, Missouri Highway Patrol cars have always been varied in color with no standard "black and white" paint scheme. The only livery that they carry are decals with the state seal on the doors and "Highway Patrol" on the fenders. I suspect that this had something to do with re-sale value because for many years the cars were auctioned off at the end of their service. Many of the old cars became Sheriff's vehicles or police cars for small towns. Another popular use of these older police cars was for use as tow vehicles for people who pulled travel trailers(this was before the pickup truck and SUV became comfortable enough to do the job). Another popular use for used police cars was as taxi-cabs.
