Australia - Queensland Police

Contributed by Steve Wakerley. Myself and two other coppers from Queensland, Australia take the enclosed 1965 Dodge Phoenix on the annual Variety Bash which is a fundraiser for the Variety Club (Children's Charity). Our vehicle is themed as a black & white US police vehicle. The Bash is a mad-capped motoring event involving over 100 pre-1970 vehicles prepared under various themes, traversing outback Australia for 8 days and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for sick, disabled and disadvantaged kids. The photos are of the vehicle on the Bash in outback Queensland. We raised $25000AUD for special kids this year. You can get more info and pics at www.keystonecops999.com

When did Australia stop production of the Dodge Phoenix (Plymouth Fury here in the States)? Where else beside Australia can you see so many American-like cars with the steering wheel on the right side.
