Should also add that although manufactured by a South African company (now known as Land Systems OMC) the RG 12 is marketed in North America by GM Defense, a subsidiary of General Dynamics.

This is an RG 12, manufactured by Vickers OMC of South Africa. The ramp system on the roof is known as a MARS (mobile adjustable ramp system) and is manufactured by Patriot 3. The MARS is designed to allow second and third story entry for tactical teams. If you visit the Patriot 3 website they actually have a picture of this very vehicle.
i spy fresnel lenses, so it's a safe bet to say its a strobe bar..i guess that makes it the 8000...i dunno.

This is a 1995 Caprice. The easiest way to tell is by the black side mirror mounted in the corner of the window instead of on the door and the rounded off rear quarter window. And Dallas PD seems to number their vehicles (at least back then) starting with the last digit in the year. In this case a "5"
Those brushed stainless wheelcovers were first available in 1993, but were optional through 1996. Dallas also got the wide body side moulding, which was another optional upgrade.
It could be any year from 1993 to 1996 hard to tell from this angle. Most likely 93 because from 94 to 96 most departments that bought Caprices opted for the center cap style wheels over these hubcaps.
